Fetal heartbeat detector
FEDO is a portable ultrasonic Doppler device designed for monitoring pregnancies. Bright FHR display, watertight probe on a long spiral cable with self-latching connector, battery operation or power supply from mains by battery charger – it all makes the device useful both at clinics, hospitals and at patient’s home. An optional standalone Fetal Doppler Speaker may be connected to the FEDO transducer for increased portability.
FEDO has exceptional sensitivity and very good quality of sound – coming either from the internal speaker or headphones. Crackling and loud noises from applying ultrasonic gel are automatically reduced. The big and bright digital display enables easy heart rate readout and the built-in rechargeable battery lasts for many days of use.
Other qualities of this device include an easy to clean membrane keyboard, a special recess in the case for easy handling and an integrated ultrasound probe holder. The spiral cord of the transducer can easily stretch out to almost 2 metre’s length, enabling submerging the probe into a labour pool. FEDO can also be hung up on an optional wall-mounted rack.
Miniature FEDO Amplifier
Specially for use cases where fetal heart rate display is not necessary, we created the small and ultra-portable FEDO Amplifier. It could be used as an accessory to the bigger FEDO, but can just as well be treated as a standalone pulse detector. Its miniature size allows for it to be carried around in a pocket and the simplicity of use makes it possible for it to be lent to and used by a patient herself in case of feeling uneasy about the pregnancy’s health. The FEDO Amplifier operates with the same ultrasound probes as its bigger counterpart FEDO.
